I have a classmate who is an atheist. I'm proving to her there is a God. I need some more information to back my argument up. it would be helpful if you can get an article as well. Thanxs God Bless you
Christ is risen! Happy Glorious Resurrection Feast.
This "Privileged Planet" play list is very special because it is not a religious but a scientific one. It relies on currently clearly observed facts that too many things about the earth and in nature cannot be formed by mere chance or be generated from random interactions.
It is a well made documentary and a good food for thought. The end result is that a viewer's reaction is usually her/his rethinking in favor of the very high possibility for the existence of God.
Any feedback? BTW have you asked your classmate the reason for being an atheist?
This video shows a single intracellular function of the many thousands of biological functions that must occur repeatedly inside any cell for it to live and how complex (and orderly vs chaotic) it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCHre3-_KjA&feature=related
I know I'm probably a bit late to this discussion, and I'm sorry if everyone has already read this book, but I'd really recommend Lee Strobel's "The Case for a Creator". Really good book about a former atheist who takes a look at the evidence for God's existence objectively. Essential if you're a scientist I'd say, and very fascinating if you're not.

This is for you, it's a very solid 3 part lecture in case the evolution 'theory' is the reason for your classmate's atheism:

no need to discuss time frames they are not immediately important for this case.
