it was a joke, and im almost sure its not the holiest book in the Bible (i could be wrong, but the gospels for instance is like the highlight of the Bible)

Song of Songs is a tough book to read. Most protestants refer to it as a book of king solomons sexual experience with a woman (always refering to touching, feeling, and various parts of a womans anatomy). The church fathers FIRMLY believe that the book refers to the relationship between Christ and the Church, as a Groom to his Bride. That is what we believe, though I admit it is difficult to see. I hope that helps :)

no, I'm not related to Abouna Athanasius, I'm related to Abouna Antonios Ragheb who departed from our world in 1999.

Regarding the book of song of songs, it's a very important book to understand becuase it refers to our relationship with God (the bride and the Groom). 

I remember the belated Fr. Sorial Sorial (anba Karas' brother) mentioned that anba Karas was memorizing this book to prepare himself to meet Christ.

Thanks for the websites provided, I will check them out, I hope they study the whole book.

Thats a funny joke! Hahahhaaha!
I read somewhere that the Songs of Solomon are about St. Mary and Gods love for mankind.
Sorry I can not remember where I read the explaination; but St.Pachomius Library' is a good source for information.

Like what ebnyasoo3 said this book is the holy of holiest of the bible. The book of Pop Shenouda is very very good in explaing it. U have to put in yr mind when u enter the holy place u need to enter with revrence.
The relation between man and God has been many times resembeled in a metaphoric way as the husband wife relation.
as in 2 Co 11:2  "for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you {as} a pure virgin". other examples in the old testament when the people betray God it is considered a spiritual adultry (e.g) Isa 50:1 "Thus says the LORD, "Where is the certificate of divorce By which I have sent your mother away' . There are so many examples, but the space is limited. The book of song of songs puts the relation between the inner soul and God under a new light. Read it again with revrence pray before u read and God will open yr heart to understad.
