Peace and grace to all,

Shouldn't girls under the age of 12 have the right to serve in the altar. Just like The Virgin Mary Our Mother. St. Mary served till the age of 12, so shouldn't young girls be allowed to do the same?

Please pray for all my weaknesses

    Do you mean serving inside the altar as the deacons who are serving in the altar with Abouna?

    St. Mary did not serve in the alter, she served in the temple, there is a difference, In the OT or basically when the temple was still erect, it had different sections, the part you are talking about is where in that time, ONLY the HIGH PRIEST was able to go into. The Holy of Holies. That is where the deacons and priest now currently serve during the liturgies, the Holy of Holies, and technically, ritually speaking, only full deacons and priests can serve in the alter, not just anyone. So basically, the answer is no girls can't go in and serve inside the alter regardless of age

    one thing taht you have to keep in mind is that St. Mary was "Jewish." We are NOT Jewish. We are Christians.
