There was a song in arabic that was translated in English (word for word). After hearing it in English, I personally believe it should be banned:
It goes like this:
"...jumping over the mountains of the Golgotha".
What a silly thing to say!! Its so lame. I think we should ban it. Ya3ni, why jump when u can walk anyway??? And if you want, why not ban it in arabic also?
And then the tune is really really Byzantine.. i mean.. if you could imagine Kate-Bush singing latin nursary rhymes for kids, then this song would be it. Ya3ni.. its not the Best of Coptic Music. Get the picture?
Look, we have to make a decision. We need to work together to get this stuff removed from our CHurch.

You can't ban a song just for one line unless it is theologically or dogmatically incorrect, the word choice is odd but nothing wrong with it.

Habibi, its not only odd, its silly. I even think its even going on the verge of mockery.
If you feel that strongly about it, take it up with your parish priest or the bishop of your area and let your voice be heard. I haven't heard the song so i can't make any judgement on it to say that its obsurd or its a mockery.

When we were hardly 16 years of age, this really REALLY sweet lady began to take us for Sunday School. She then started to sing this song during the lesson with us, and I can tell u, it didnt go down well.
We left Sunday School on our way home, and we were really disturbed. The IMAGE of someone jumping over mountains of the Golgotha (OF ALL PLACES!!).
Out of all the places in the world, she wants to jump over these Holy Mountains.
I don't know whether it was because of our young age, or what.. but this song really didnt appeal to us. The reason why I'm posting this is that i do not wish others to suffer in this way as we did.
