[quote author=copticluva link=topic=5268.msg70562#msg70562 date=1178067920] hi does anyone know what an Aspasmos Watos & Aspasmos Adam is? thanx GBU
hmm,...... Aspasmos Adam the hymn said after the 'Meet and right...' part in the liturgy. after the deacon says 'Let us attend,' it is said in it's own known tune.
Aspasmos Watos the hymn said after the 'Holy, Holy, Holy...' part in the liturgy. before the people say 'The Cherubim worship..,' it is said in it's own known tune.
every season have it's own aspasmos watos and/or adam (different text) and some saints have their own aspasmoses to be said on their feasts to. this is an optinal hymn it's not mostly said ya3ny. also they somtimes more than 1 aspasmos watos/adam for one season for the deacons to choose. they can be said in any language. the most femous ones are the annual ones which are 'Onof emmo Maria'/Efrahi ya Mariam as an adam one, and 'Epshois Efnouti'/Ayohal-rab as a watos one.
