what does this really mean, that we must approach the kingdom of God as Children. plz reply and give me any thoughts u may have on this topic... thnx heaps George
We are all God's children, and if we wish to be a part of His kingdom, we must humble ourselves before God like small children. We can enter only by the grace of God. We must come on God's terms, leaving our pride, arrogance, and self-centered desires behind.
"as new born babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby" 1 Peter 2:2 "Assuredely I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it" Mark 10:15
Just as a young child can not depend on himself but must depend on his parents to receive from them the necessities of life, thats how we also need to receive the kingdom of God, with an open heart, knowing that we can not depend on ourselves to enter it, but we have to humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord and depend on Him and His grace, so that we may enter. When you look into a little child's eyes, you see innocence and purity, you see a little child that needs someone to care for him, someone that he must depend on, as little children we have to depend on God and know that no one cares about us like Jesus does, no one loves us as much as He does, accept Him into our hearts and into our lives and then we will feel truly, that His kingdom is within us, its inside of us, its part of us, if we accept Him as little children, He will come abide in us and us in Him, and dwell in our hearts forever.
