Process of selecting a new priest/deacon.

I'm curious to know if anyone knows every method of selecting a new priest or deacon (real deacon). Please only answer if you have a detailed explanation or have been involved in such a process before. Thank you.

Simple. Each diocese, bishop, hegumen, has their own process for selecting a candidate. The basic, universal core element is simple: Prayer that God chooses a shepherd for Himself. The details of the process vary. As far as I know there is no standardized selection process.
