baptismal records from Egypt

Hello everyone,

would anyone know how to get a Coptic Orthodox baptismal record from Egypt? Do they even exist? I'm trying to get one of my father's (which was 55 years ago) but I was told (true or untrue?) that they weren't issued back then. Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

Is there way to get in touch with the Church where the baptism was done? Maybe there was a record kept in the Church's archives?
