But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, "Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man's wife." (genesis 20:3)
why does God tell him, King Abimelech, that he is a dead man, if God knew that he did it in the integrity of his heart and that he was innocent, not knowing that she was Abraham's wife?
If in Genesis 12:19, Abimelech already sends Abraham and Sarah on their way, then why does the bible repeat this in Genesis 20? Is it because to put details on how/why the king let the go on their why (by the vision, so on...)?
