Wedding Rings

Hi,

Can someone tell me the importance of wedding rings in the sacrament of marriage?

Are they necessary?

Can a couple be married without them?

Does their marriage depend on each one wearing their rings?

Can these rings be replaced? If they can be replaced/exchanged, does abouna have to put them on again.

    Yes, I'm aware.. but can there be a marriage WITHOUT the rings?

    Also, what if the couple want to get new rings? Is that possible?

    I don't really know the details of Coptic culture so you'd be best asking your own priest.

    I imagine that Coptic tradition allows for the replacement of rings since they could be lost or stolen.
