• If you look at the explanation in Hebrews chapter 5, it clearly makes a correlation between Christ and Melchizedek. As is known, in the Old Testament the higher(even now) gives the blessing to the lower. Melchizedek blessed Abraham right? So, Melchi…
• Lol, I don't have the exact alcohol level haha but i would think it should def be lower than 17.5% alcohol. I would think at least less than 5. I know here in the US at least, Christian book stores and Christian stores in general sell specific wine …
• OP refers to original post. I also second Joe's sentiment. Topics like this are why numerous posters have left the site
•
I agree with everybody, but why isnt wine like alcoholic product, isnt there a wine that isnt alcoholic?
The wine we use does not have a high alcohol content, …

• Try the presentations on st george and st shenouda's church of new jersey. That should be fairly complete although not in pdf.
•
(Correct me if I am wrong) Didn't Jesus Christ use bread because it is was Mozes and the children of Israel used for passover lamb -as a sacrifice to God. And…
• It comes from the Old testament as well. The story of Melchizedek(can never spell this right) where he blessed the bread and wine that Abraham offered. Read Genesis 14:18-19
• The best one is the complete Orthodox Study Bible so far.
• I heard something else actually, that he asked himself this question, and angels had appeared to him chanting, Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal over and over again, so He joined in the heavenly chant. Pray for me
• The theotokai tune itself doesn't change, but the sherat does to the joyful tune.
• Matt, I would love to hear some stories if you are willing to share! Pray for me
• Thanks very much Mabsoota Pikhristos Aftonf!
• Nobody knows of the day or hour. The book of revelation is a completely prophetic and symbolic book. Not everything can be taken literally. If you mean as clear as mud then yeah, its very clear. "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See tha…
• Best books to look for are from direct fathers if you can find them. On the Incarnation is great, and to add to what matt said, 2000 years of Coptic History is a good book as well as the books called the School of Alexandria before and after/during …
• Do not seek a higher rank, its not just a title, its true responsibility. You are only 14, you are still very young. The rank means nothing if all you want it for as title. You shouldn't even be seeking the higher rank. When you are singing are you …
• Joe I miss you on here man, I love the topics you start. Overall, the best source for the most part in my opinion, which I'm sure its not that important, is to go to Muallem mikhail. If not him, look for a general consistency in the hymns. If ther…
• Its probably just a taraneem or something, No one can just create a hymn.

• Check st george and st. shenouda's church in NJ they have presentations, you might find it on there.
• Guys Ioannes has already appologized twice, get off the topic, it's not important especially since we have begun Holy week, where the focus should be on Christ and our salvation, not on our diiferences between churches or prooving each other wrong. …
• Adam and Watos when the come to the Psali's refer to the days and which are said. So Psali adam is said with its tune from sunday-wed, and Psali watos from thur-sat. Psali is a greek word meaning praise I believe. The word [coptic]Acpacmoc[/coptic…

• I'm not sure if we stick to that strictly speaking but I can see how it may work out that way. I don't think we really follow any one tone as our hymns are extremely elaborate, especially the ones with melisma.
• Ioannes, First of all, Abouna Matta el Maskeen is not a saint. He may have had his time but is considered to have fallen into heresy and caused many problems for the church. You're quote that you have is taken out of the context of the situation. A…

•
yes jydeacon I totally respect your opinion and I think overall it is a very logical argument. What I am really uneasy about is that I sense a slight negativity in your tone…
• Ophadece, I can definitely see where you are coming from with the communion hymns and saying khristos anesti and such. I also completely understand how we need to take a stand. But how can we? The majority of people are completely ignorant. What is…
• Ioannes, Take it easy man. I understand you are very zealous but like Zoxsasi said, extremism isn't the answer. Nobody here is saying the pope is infallible. We know he can make a mistake. However, its quite bold of you to disagree with someone wh…
