Does anyone have any info on the conclusion of the VOC Eesos Pikhristos Ensaf....I asked my priest(Abouna Mina Ayad) he says that it is for any joyful occasions while many others I have asked tell me it is only for the feasts of the Lord.

i am praying our church will add some extra liturgies so we can celebrate Christmas - i think they are struggling with planing the liturgies for january as there are so many people and so little space in church!
i would really love to learn the festive tune and sing it properly, am i hoping there will be enough liturgies so we can all go to one between Christmas and Theophany.
(i am not planning to go to both, that would be greedy!)
@mabsoota the tune is what Mlm. Ayad is using in the third recording on this page up until 9:02, although he doesn't finish the hymn in the long tune and switches to annual. The tune is sort of similar to the 1st part of the hymn "The 7 Tunes/Ways", but not the same- don't get them mixed up! :))
There are many sets of hazzat and teaching recordings online that can break it down further. The 2 I recommend are hazzat.com and LearnCopticHymns. Since we're stuck indoors for a little while longer, now's a great time to learn them!
