Hello Coptic brothers and sisters i had a question that just popped in my head that i never had thought of. Why do monks and priest always carry a hand cross you konw besides to bless people with, is there another significance to why and is it required that all priest and monks hold one at all times just wondering.     They have the grace to bless people and pray and give absolutions. It's not exactly them that is doing this, but the grace of the Spirit in them. It's best then to do that with the cross to testify to that fact. And since this is all they're supposed to do, every where and any time, it makes sense to carry a cross all the time.

    OK that makes seance thanks for clearing things up. its something that i never paid attention too. but when the question popped in my head i couldn't figure out the answer until now thanks.
