where did they go?...Hades?...even if they were followers of God's words?

Where did the human beings that died before the incarnation, and crucifiction and ascension, and ressurection, etc., go?
When my father said that no one before Jesus has been through these processes went to heaven...so where did they go?...Hades?...even if they were followers of God's words?

    They were all in Hades but the righteous were separated from the sinners. Refer to the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus (Luke 16).

    (please correct me if necessary).

    Then when God was incarnated and was crusified and etc., Did God's followers remain in hades or were they went out? Is this possible anyway?

    When Jesus died on the cross, His human spirit not separated from His divinity went to Hades and took Adam and all the righteous to paradise.
